Employment
When is the new plant expected to open?
What has been openly communicated is the start of production is slated by 2010. We are quickly finalizing all plans for construction, equipment installation, and hiring to determine a more specific start of production, it could be as early as mid–late 2009.
When will Toyota start accepting applications for jobs?
For some professional jobs, it could be as early as late 2007. Those can be seen by viewing Toyota.com. For other production and skilled jobs, it will likely be in early 2008. The first jobs will be for maintenance and tool and die positions, followed in about 6 months by production positions. Our process will have several steps and take quite a while before the first hires will occur, so patience will be an important message to share.
How do I apply or submit a resume or fill out an application?
For professional postitions, please monitor Toyota.com. For the hourly positions, we are still working out the logistics of how applications will be submitted and accepted, but a good source of current information will be the local WIN Job centers.
