ENGINEERING CONTRACTS
The PUL (Pontotoc, Union & Lee) Alliance advertised and received Engineering qualifications from 18 Engineering, Environmental and Architectural firms. The advertisement requested qualifications for the design and construction administration of water, wastewater, natural gas and rail infrastructure. Of the 18 responses, one architectural response and one environmental response were received but were not qualified for the specific work as advertised. The PUL evaluated the remaining 16 proposals and recommended the award of four contracts. The four contracts are as follows: Elevated water storage tank design contract to Precision Engineering of New Albany, Elevated water storage tank design to CivilTech, Inc. (MBE) of Jackson, Natural Gas pipeline design to Tennergy, Inc. of Pontotoc and the development of design parameters for water and wastewater to Cook Coggin, Inc. of Tupelo.

There still remains to be awarded the design of the rail spur to the site and the water and wastewater line design which is anticipated to be handled in possibly two design contracts.

Future construction to be funded by the State thru the PUL Alliance will entail the same projects as described in the engineering description above. A synopsis is as follows:
